Need more time
Oh lordy it's September already. don't seem to blink before a few months passes and this blog feels rather neglected.

May already?
... how time flies when you're just plain busy!
I've not got much to write at the moment only that She Felt Geeky has been lucky enough to provide sponsorship to THE biggest events in London's burlesque calendar... World Burlesque Games 2012
Here are some of the prizes winners of the contest may receive...
Boxer shorts with vintage vibe, side tie knickers made from vintage fabrics, eye masks, dickie bows, make up bags and bandeau tops! They all look so good we didn't want to give them away!!

Inspired by Tuesday
I love the photo on my earlier post... so here are the pieces we came up with having been inspired by it. They are poles apart but hey that's what we do Scotty and me!
Scotty draws, puts his pen to paper and creates beautiful images, mostly in the style of tattoo flash. Like this:

He knew instantly what he wanted to draw when he took this photo. I wish I'd taken some photos of him drawing it though.

Myself, I like to sew and I was inspired to counter act how cold this image looks, and thus I created a beanie hat with button.

Having adapted a pattern available online with a few tweaks to suit my base wool, which was previously an unfinished knitted sweater, I took advantage of using my new overlocker (I adore this, maybe too much).

Time to cut out the pattern

Making the button

I used the zigzag stitch on my machine to run over some threads of grey wool onto plain cream cotton.
This would be my fabric for my button.

We enjoyed this little project, and after taking photos of each other wearing the beanie hat while out walking our little poochie papillon we came home to warm our frozen fingers!

Let's hope the next Inspiration Tuesday Project is warmer!

I finally managed...
to create a blog design that I am happy with!
May it be filled with lovely things this year and those to come.
